Post subject: Beginner friendly crags near Rethymno

Hi,

First off, this is a great site! Thanks for putting this up.

I´m going on vacation with my un-experienced girlfriend, and we would like to do some climbing.

Do you have any suggestions for crags to visit? Bolted/sport climbing only.

She climbs around 5-6a-ish and I should be able to do 6b-6c at least.

We are staying in Rethymnon for a couple of weeks.

Thanks

Post subject: are you already in rethymno?

if yes on sunday there is a trip for climbing for begginers and any one who would like to climb orginised by the mounteneering club of rethymno (i' m not sure that this is the excact name).

they will go near plakias before the kalypso hotel (south rethymno).

this spot is really interesting for begginers as the routes are about 12m and from 5b to 6a+.

there are also two easy routes at plakias (really nice spot) and some other small ones near rethymno.

inform me when you arrive and i ll try to climb with you.

Hi,

We are in Rethymno now, and will be here until the 20th.

We are planning to rent a car and try to do some climbing this weekend, the temperature is coming down a bit, which helps when you're from Norway :)

If you have time, you could email me at richardsen @ gmail DOTT com

cheers!
