Hi,

We've got flights booked for Easter this year and are looking to climb routes from 7a to 8a (with some 6's to warm up). We will probably base ourselves near Agiofarago but are keen to check out other areas. Can anyone recommend places to stay that will be quiet and peaceful. Self-catering appartments would be preferred but cheap hotels will do in the right locations.

Hope you can help,

Dave

Hi Dave,

Rent a car and head north west to a climbing area called Therissos. Plenty of routes above 7a there with minimal appoach. Actually most of the routes are near the road. It is a must climbing area if you can on sight 7a and above. Almost all routes there are fully bolted from a few meters up to 100+.

Agiofarago is a great spot too. Near Agiofarago is Kapetaniana (search on the web site about it) which also worth a visit.

If you have a car, you can stay anywhere around Messara plateau. Most of the hotels are cheap that period.

Cheers

Thanks Stelios,

That's really useful. We'll book a car and go have an adventure.

Dave
