Θέμα μηνύματος: Broken bolts on various gorges
A major issue arrised a few weeks ago while we've been informed that all bolts bought from a Greek company called Rockland (www.rockland.gr) been problematic and need to be replaced asap. The problem has to do with the steel they are using. We've already found in various places, including climbing areas, broken bolts from that company. This is a major problem as hundread of bolts are already in place, mainly in gorges,available for canyoning. Be aware to AVOID going to the following gorges until we sort out the bolt thing.
Cha or Xa gorge Same bolts added to Prinias climbing area. I'm waiting this week the replacement bolts. As soon as I'll have them I will replace the old ones and update this thread along with the relevant article. Especially and only for this area, the bolts are relative new (just 6-8 months) and don't think that will lead to a problem. However, is recommended not to climb into that sector until I fully replace the bolts. Cheers www.climbincrete.com |
