Hi Lars,

What exactly are you looking for to buy? There are a couple of shops around Crete but have close to zero climbing equipment.

Hi Stelios

Congratulations on the excellent site.  It is really impressive, and I'm really looking forward to doing some climbing in Crete.

Is there a guidebook that has been prepared (either in English or German) that is available for sale somewhere in Crete?

Cheers

Jurge

Hi Jurge,

There is a climbing guide printed a couple of years ago. You can find it in various shops. The one that definetely have it is the "Road bookstore" in Chandakos street in the city centre of Heraklion.

It's not up to date but cover a lot of the areas.

Cheers

PS: Thanks a lot for your comments about the web site.

Post subject: Guidbook

Hey Stelios

I'm off to Crete in a couple of days and was wondering if any new guidebook had been released recently?

Also do you have any recommendations on where to go, knowing that I'll be traveling with my girlfriend and she's no super hardcore climber... well I'm not really either!

Thanks for your help - great work with the website by the way!

Thierry
