Post subject: climbing partner(s) 1-4 may
Hi All I coming to Crete for a couple of days, and thinking to have some climbing for a day of two. I have probably all necessary gear (50 m rope, 10 draws...) and thinking about 6+ routes. I'm coming to Rethymno, and as I know there is no climbing rouets there so I can come where ever potential partner prepouse, as soon as Crete is not so big. So I'll be happy for any company! P.S. I also gona dive so if some one wish to join for this activity to, feal free to write;) Eduard |

Eduard be aware that to access via road most of the climbing areas in the south, the altitude is higher than 300 meters (about 500+). Where are you going to dive? There is a new climbing area just a few km outside of Rethimno. At the moment I have the info only in Greek. I'll see if I can find some time to translate the articles and publish it on the web site. Cheers PS: I dive a lot too. www.climbincrete.com |

Hi Eduart, Been an Open Water diver limit your dives in Crete in terms of depth but alititude is altitude and you need to aware this as different people behavies different in altitude after diving even if the depth is no more than 18 meters. I'm usualy doing deep dives in the south (30-42m) and always wait a lot after dive (usually 16-24 hours) There are great dives around Crete but not all in one place so you need to travel a lot. Check out a video below, I took this video last summer. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kdR7YwzO0yA&feature=relmfu www.climbincrete.com |
